An Application Fee of $137 is required to be paid when submitting this Application Form & this can be paid at any Council Office by credit card, cheque or cash. Please read the enclosed guidelines & procedures prior to completing the application form to ensure that appropriate information is provided. A minimum of three (3) weeks is required for processing application. Approval will not be granted until all relevant permits & agreements are in place and appropriate usage conditions have been determined.

After investigation by Parks Officers, other requirements that may be required include:
  • Environmental impact study
  • Further community or Councillor consultation
  • Damage mitigation permit
  • Worksite Safety Plan
  • Project awareness signage
  • Pre-clearing assessment
  • Traffic control measures
  • Provide alternative access
  • Permission to remove trees / vegetation
  • Specified plant selection / replacement
  • Vegetation Valuation / Arborist Report
  • Project Plan
Important :
  • Upon receipt of Council's Conditions of Approval Letter, a refundable bond is required to be paid which will be held until the completion of the reinstatement works. The Applicant is to contact Council at the end of works to arrange a Reinstatement Inspection.
  • An Entry Fee of $105 & rental costs may also be applicable. Refer to Council’s Conditions of Approval Letter.
  • For significant tree works & removal applications, Independent Tree valuations, root treatments, protection methods & assessment reports will be required.
  • Worksite Safety Plan
  • For significant reinstatement works, a landscape restoration plan or vegetation rehabilitation plan will be required.
  • All landscape removal, restoration and construction are to be carried out by; a qualified horticulturalist for vegetation work, a licensed landscaper for construction work, qualified bush regenerator for Natural Areas and a qualified arborist for all tree works.
  • It is the responsibility of the applicant to issue relevant notifications and communications to effected landowners, asset owners and stakeholders (eg residents, community groups, sports club, GCCC branches, land care groups, local business, relevant protection agency and Department of Natural Reserves etc). Copy / details of relevant notifications and communications that have been made are to be provided with this application.
