A community events is generally open to the public and includes infrastructure. Examples include fairs, family fun day, community information day, sports tournaments etc and may require additional permits for proposed activities such as a food stall or liquor license permit
An application may be reclassified as a ‘major event’ by Council Officers if it is deemed that the nature and size of the activity does not constitute a ‘community event’. Should this occur, the applicant must submit a full ‘event management plan’ to Council’s Special Events Branch for consideration/approval.
Please read the enclosed Guidelines and conditions prior to completing the application form to ensure correct form is being submitted, appropriate information is provided and you are aware of any bonds, permits and/or conditions that may apply to your usage. and completion of this form does not constitute approval. All details must be completed in order for the application to be processed. A minimum of thirty (30) working days is required for processing applications (longer lead time may be required for larger events).
