The coast has a huge variety of youth precincts on offer, from world-class skate and BMX facilities to small localised youth spaces. These sites provide a diversity of use and experiences and are a great place for you people to particicapte in rectreation activities and chill out.

Youth Point Connect
The Gold Coast North Youth Centre is at the Runaway Bay Skate Park, on the corner of Oxley and Lae Drive.
Youth Point Connect (YPC) provides lifestyle and educational programs to engage local young people, by offering activities to complement the existing use of the skate bowl during school holidays. A Healthy Eating and Physical Activity project delivers education on healthy eating and provides free afternoon teas and healthy barbeques on Saturdays.

Youth Radio Training Centre (YRTC)
Village Markets, Sickle Avenue. Hope Island.
It provides a free service to young people who have an interest in radio and journalism. Learn all about being a radio DJ, voice over’s, interviewing and best of all, produce your own one hour show. Real equipment, real radio booth. Also offers an eight-week School Radio Training program.

Thrower House
A Gold Coast City Council facility at Salk Oval, Palm Beach.
Thrower House has been designed as a safe space for young people, community groups and organisations to meet and conduct a broad range of cultural, artistic, recreational and educational activities. The facility incorporates an office space, an arts shed, computer hub, a lounge area or chill out space, kitchen, shower and toilet. Thrower House is fully accessible.
Thrower House facilitates a programs each school holidays. Some of the activities and workshops include fishing, tennis, cooking, art and craft, dragon boating, stand up paddle board, young parents group and barbeques.

StreetWise skate workshops
Experience pure skateboarding and the mix of exercise, individuality and friendship this sport offers. Grab the opportunity to be taught by some of Australia’s best skaters who are accredited coaches. One hour workshops held every Saturday are open to all ages and ability levels.

Cruiser Girls skate workshops
The Cruiser is an ideal longboard for anyone looking to kick back and cruise their way down to the beach or the shops. The Cruiser keeps you in full control and makes a fantastic first longboard for beginner, intermediate and advanced cruising oriented riders. These free workshops have been designed to introduce females to the world of skateboarding. One hour workshops are held on Saturdays from 9am and are open to all ability levels.

Police Citizens Youth Clubs
The city has three fantastic Police Citizens Youth Clubs (PCYC) that offer a huge range of fun activities as well fully equipped gyms. Activities include boxercise, kickboxing, personal training, a Sony Playstation room, basketball, badminton, wrestling, tennis and more. There is not much you cannot do at a PCYC.
