Free promotion opportunity - Vibe Youth Program - December 2009 to June 2010
Are you running activities for young people? The Gold Coast City Councils Active & Healthy Team is expanding the Vibe Youth Program. From December 2009 until June 2010 there will be free or low cost activities running weekly across the city for young people aged 12 to 18 years. The activities will run after school, weekends and school holidays in parks and community centres. The activities will include a range of fun and affordable activities such as self defence, hip hop dancing, laser skirmish, photography, DJ workshops, jewellery making, performing arts, surfing and much more.
If you are planning or currently run affordable activities, programs or events for young people then take advantage of this opportunity to include your information in the next ‘Vibe Youth Program’ Guide. All activities, programs and events must be happening between 1 December 2009 to 30 June 2010.
Examples of possible programs offered:
- a place where young people receive youth friendly community based health services eg Headspace
- a once-off, weekly or regular program at a centre eg Music activities at Expressive Grounds
- a place to meet after school or on weekends eg Local Neighbourhood Centres, PCYC’s
- events that specifically target young people eg Gold Coast Youth Service
This is a great opportunity to promote the activities, program and events you are running for free. Click here to download the guidelines (PDF 76KB) and application form (PDF 295KB).
Any ideas?
