The Jamie's Ministry of Food Mobile Kitchen will be on the Gold Coast from Friday 11 January 2013. Jamie's Ministry of Food is about getting people cooking again by teaching them the basics: how to cook, how to shop, and how to enjoy food in a way that benefits not only individuals, but also their families.
Join us for a basic cooking course where you will learn to cook simple, healthy and tasty meals using fresh ingredients. We will share with you loads of Jamie's hints, tips and shortcuts. The courses are delivered by trained food technicians who will provide you will all the skills to have you cooking healthy Jamie Oliver inspiried food at home. Please note that unfortunately Jamie Oliver himself will not be taking the courses.
Classes are held at the same time each week, for five weeks and run for 90 minutes. Each class has a maximum of 8 participants and is completely hands on so you get to see, smell, feel and taste everything that you cook! The course is open to children and adults 12 years and over who want to learn the basics of cooking and have fun in the kitchen!

The interest in learning to how to cook healthier meals for you and your family has been amazing. Unfortunately the Ministry of Food Program can only take a limited number of participants each round.
Waiting lists for Round 2 bookings are kept and and often there are a few cancellations so if you are interested in having your name down on the waiting list, please still call 5581 7259 to have your details recorded.
However if you are still interested in learning how to cook more healthy and nutritious meals we do offer healthy cooking programs through Councils Active and Healthy Program
